I just watched Fletch for the first time last night and I must say I enjoyed it. This got me interested in reading about the rest of his filmography. While he had some other well reviewed and commercial successful movies, it seems like he never quite reached the heights of other comedy stars like Bill Murray or Robin Williams. Then once the 90's came along he pretty much dissappeared as a leading man.
He certainly had a lot talent but it seems like he either wasn't the greatest when it came to choosing scripts or his ego prevented him from working with other more talented people.
