Hi everyone. The Busan Film Festival starts October 12th and I was planning on going this year, if only for a day or two. While many of the films showcased are by Korean directors, there are many other films from all around Asia and even many from Europe and the US. From the top of my head I know mother! will be there but I haven't looked into the lineup much yet.
Anyways, has anyone here been to this Festival before or plan to go this year? The ticket information hasn't been released yet and I want o know what to expect regarding prices and availability. I only have limited time so one day tickets would probably be my best bet, but I want to have access to multiple screenings.
If anyone plans on going this year let me know maybe we can meet up. Busan is beautiful this time of year where it's still warm enough to go to the beach but not too hot since there is a nice breeze. Korea itself is a great country to visit for its cuisine and simple public transportation.
If anyone has any information or input to share I would really appreciate it. Maybe it's an obscure event compared to Sundance or Cannes but from what I can tell it's the most important Film Festival in Korea which has produced numerous classic films throughout the years. I really want to experience it at least once so any help would be great. Thanks!
