It's probably the "Guilty Pleasure" movie for me, but they never once explain this. WTF are "Jump sites", and WTF do they mean for someone who can supposedly teleport anywhere?
I get this wasn't a popular or well received movie, but it's honestly up there in my top 25. I'm totally padding out the word count so this gets past the 300 word count automod, so sue me, I can't think of another subreddit to post this to. If a mod can recommend one, please do. But I like this movie, and it's been bugging me for almost a decade. Did the writers ever go on record about this? I can't dig through over 100 google result pages and never get an answer. Fan theories? Wild mass guessing? Something.
Also, has there ever been word of a possible sequel? I know the movie didn't do well and is hated for some reason, but honestly, I want more. They built an interesting world that is just begging for more stories. Or am I doomed to forever dream of a sequel that gives the concept a chance to not be tarnished by the Star Wars prequel hate, and an admittedly mediocre(but still enjoyable) performance?
