Without giving away major spoilers, what can i expect from mother! before seeing it tomorrow?

Ive heard its a complex movie that requires a bit of reading to understand the full story. Id like to do the research myself but im afraid ill read to much and might spoil the movie. Can anyone shed a little light on it without giving to much away? (Adding a bit of extra text to meet character count requirement, sorry but thats all i had to ask)
