Movie buffs,
We all have one or a couple movies that we both love and praise, although we've actually never seen them. It is even possible that we claim that one of these movies is our favorite film - despite actually never having seen it.
So what are some of your movies that you haven't seen but still praise relentlessly?
I love "Paris, Texas" by Wim Wenders (1984). What a road movie, and what a place Texas is. Many of my friends know that this is a favorite movie of mine, and some people even associate it with me. There is, however, a problem. I've never seen "Paris, Texas". It just seems like a really cool movie. I'm fascinated by anything that has to do with Texas, and Wim Wenders is a magnificent film maker (I'm still yet to see any of his movies though). It also stars the great Dean Harry Stanton and has a great 80's feel to it (I think). Also, people seem impressed when I list it as one of my favorite movies - older generations especially.
I hope to actually see it one day - although I am scared that it won't live up to its hype: what if I don't like it? Maybe I shouldn't even watch it?
What are some of your own examples?
I remember a friend in middle school who praised the South Park movie until it turned out that he had actually only seen the trailer for it.
Thanks!
