So as we all know legend of the sword did not do that we'll mainly because it was not that good. What is even more a shame is that it was also originally going to start a king Arthur cinematic universe.
Now this was originally the intention I don't know if that remained the case when it started production but if it was it did not do very well. Now personally I would've done it very differently first I would've taken my time and did what marvel did and have some solo films leading it up to the big avengers style crossover with only some ties for each film.
So the first film I would've done was a Merlin origin story the reason I start here is because you can explore Merlin as a character and introduce magic and the world of King Arthur slowly. Now for a younger Merlin I think Martin Freeman would be good but for older one I the later films I'd say Javier Bardem.
Next up is a Sir Lancelot film setting up Lancelot and my choice for him would be either Taron Egerton or Nikolai Coaster Waldu
Since I don't know much about the other knights of the roundtable I'd say the next two or three films would be on other members of the knights of the roundtable. The next film after those would be a Robin Hood film yes just screw all that robin hood cinematic universe cap and just have robin hood in a king Arthur cinematic universe.
Have him and his marry men be the suicide squad/guardians of the galaxy of the cinematic universe. Then finally a king Arthur film though you can keep Charlie hunum as arthur and then after that the big avengers style crossover film the knights of the roundtable.
