The Thing was a notorious box office flop. Any of you old-timers see The Thing in its original theatrial release? What your thoughts leaving the theater? How much of the movie did you know going in? How much was shown in the marketing? Was it like anything you had seen before? Were the effects mind-blowing?
The Thing came out the same day as Blade Runner! Anyone see that in theaters?
