This is coming from someone who has NOT read the book...but I dunno, I just love that movie. I watched it when it came out, loved it...then watched it recently and just love it. The world building is simple and concise. The acting is good. The story and moments that the giver shares with Jonas are simple and natural. I just thought it said less but that echoed to let you imagine so much more, am I just crazy or was that movie not good, what are everyone else’s opinions? Maybe it was because the guy that played Jonas was hot I dunno. I loved how it was black and white in the beginning then gradually became color. I thought it was touching and moving and the simple themes it dealt with were appealing to everyone. I just can’t get the movie out of my head, I so much enjoyed it. It was kind of an escape of a movie. Is there anyone else that liked it or what are your thoughts on it? It’s on Netflix if you wanna check it out.
