Hey guys, I was hoping some of you would be able to help me compile a list of some interesting Bollywood films to watch. Not interested in stuff like "Chennai Express" or other mindless garbage like "Happy New Year."
I’m a little tired of Western Hollywood films, so this is why I’m looking to branch out and give good Bollywood films a try as it’s one of the biggest movie producers in the world. They clearly have a lot of content, but I want to filter through and only watch the good stuff.
I’ve watched a few already like Dangal, Dil Se, and Guru, and I found them all to be pretty good for the most part (and also quite different from what I’m used to watching). I’ve also seen the classics like Dilwale Dulhaniua Lay Jeingein (DDLJ-I may have butchered the spelling) and some others listed in IMDB’s top list. This is why I was hoping I’d be able to leverage some of your guys’ knowledge and experiences of Bollywood and see if some others had a list of their own “Top 10” Bollywood films to watch.
Not sure how many folks on this subreddit even watch Bollywood, but would really appreciate any information you guys provide, thanks! Please chime in below :)
