This has been blowing up in Turkey in the last couple of days but it turned out to be true. In this link: http://ift.tt/2kxdMh6 Sony Pictures says they distributed a slightly-changed version of the movie to Turkey due to its respect to the local cultures.
As a Turk and a fan of the original movie, this is disturbing and I don't know who to blame.
