Just to be clear, the film has to have been released this year. Additionally, this thread is calling for your favorite film, not for the best; but if you consider your favorite film to be the best film, then that's fine. With that in mind, your favorite film can also be the worst. As long as it's deemed your favorite, there are no boundaries to which film you can choose, except for its release date.
As for me, my favorite movie of the year so far is it. Although it's not phenomenal, nor the best, it's the one that resonated with me the most. It's got heart, humor, and style, but what got me the most were the characters. I was infested in them, they felt as if they were believable. It's as if you've encountered at least one of these kids in your life.
