What is a really great acting performance in an otherwise terrible movie?

I loved Street Fighter as a young kid, but saw it recently and realized it was pretty terrible (and then was interested reading about all the behind-the-scenes issues they had). But even today I think Raul Julia put on a really good performance as M. Bison. "For me, it was Tuesday."

Any other examples like this?
