So I just finished watching "Quiz Show" like 10 minutes ago (great movie btw) and the whole time the investigation was happening I failed to understand just how was the rigging of the games illegal? I found myself siding with enrites(spelling?) testimony of they didn't hurt anyone and they are in the entertainment business. I find it akin to WWE and the way that their fights are rigged to keep the popularity of certain wrestlers up. I looked up the real life events but still asked myself the same question of how was this illegal? If anyone can explain the legality of the situation i would appreciate it.
