(Spoilers) Was it just me, or did CGI ruin Mother!?

I really enjoyed the first half of Mother!, but once the CGI started to creep in, it ruined the atmosphere for me.

Especially after the crowd surfing baby, I just couldn't take the film seriously anymore. Things that felt chilling before ended up feeling silly or downright funny.

Wondering how other people felt about it?
