I know we center almost exclusively on Chris and the kids and their hijinks, and Brenda serves as a catalyst to drive them into the city so that the rest of the story can unfold, but what was she running from?
It's established that she's been thinking about running away for some time as she says she finally did it, and at the end of the movie she says she can't go home, but that's about the extent of what we see into her personal life.
What do you think? Overly dramatic teen stuff or was something darker going on at Brenda's house?
