This is pretty interesting. Blade Runner 2049 has the most restrictive press embargo I've ever heard of. Publicists gave press a long list of what they can / cannot write about, to the extreme they talk about how critics must write about certain characters and plot elements. They're prohibited from talking about any plot elements almost whatsoever, even those revealed in the first 5 minutes.
What I think is interesting is the precedent this could set. Other mystery box movies have had guidelines politely asking press not to give away big reveals and things like that, but nothing on this level. I wonder if Christopher Nolan or movies like Star Wars will start adopting the same thing.
EDIT: to be clear, by embargo I mean limiting / restricting what critics can talk about in their reviews. The reviews were already published as of Friday morning. They're very positive.
