I go through movie cycles. Every now and then I'll revisit some of my favorite movies or series and sometimes it happens around certain times of the year. Now that the leaves are starting to change color, I naturally remind myself that it's horror movie season. Or, not even horror movies, but Halloween movies or dramas.
So I'm looking to find some new movies this year. I'll probably still revisit some of the ones that I do, but I'm curious to see if anybody else does this same thing and what are some of the movies (or suggestions) that you like to watch around this time?
I'm open to pretty much anything:
- Classic Horror
- Monster Movies (which I embarrassingly haven't seen many of, so please help me here)
- Werewolves/ Vampires/ Zombies
- Apocalyptic
- Halloween
- Psychological Thrillers
Out of a few examples, movies I typically watch this time of year are:
- Silence of the Lambs
- Children of Men
- The Road
- War of the Worlds
- The Conjuring
- Donnie Darko
- Poltergeist
- Underworld
- American Werewolf in London
- Hocus Pocus ( I know. For the wife.)
- The Sixth Sense
- Creepshow
- The Shining
So yeah. I don't typically watch all these that I listed above, but when I think of great movies that I like to watch this time of year, these are some. Some, I watch every year it seems. So what do you find yourself watching every year or what are some movies that you think I should try out this year?
