Anyone else think that IMDB’s top 250 is unfairly shat on?

I've honestly never had a problem with this list - I hear people complaining a lot about the rating system (and they probably have a point about most users giving films either a 1/10 or a 10/10), but ultimately I've always found the scores on IMDb to be a really good indication of how good a film will be, compared to websites like Rotten Tomatoes, where films like Interstellar and Leon: The Professional only got 71%.

I've always found the audiences opinion to be much more valuable than that of critics, what do you guys think?
