Anyone else sick of superhero movies?

I used to be a huge comic book fan but gave it up because comics themselves are expensive (I live in the UK; the closest thing to a comic book shop is a newsagents selling the Peppa fucking Pig magazine) and I honestly got sick of these "movies".

Every single film just blends into another, with no discernible style to tell each one apart. I just watched Baby Driver and it really highlights just how bland these films are. The camera is so still in these films that it makes the movie look lifeless and dull.

The best superhero film I've seen in years was Logan, and I know I'm not alone with that opinion. So why is Logan so different to other superhero films? Because it's not filmed like a fucking sitcom, characters have weight and actually die, the action is subdued and the drama is what keeps you engaged. When was the last time you cared about drama with Thor? What about Black Widow? Ant Man? Fucking Spider-Man?

The only two MARVEL characters I can see producing this kind of engagement would be Captain America and Iron Man, simply because the first Iron Man film and Winter Soldier were so good.

DC is a complete clusterfuck right now. They've got Superman, one of the most likeable characters ever created, and they've made him angry, angsty and boring.

As for X-Men, it's very hit and miss. Logan was fantastic and Deadpool was a lot of fun, but for every Logan we have X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and for every Deadpool we have Fant4Stic.

MARVEL keep on making generic, average films and I'm honestly sick of it. I know I sound like a pretentious snob but this really pisses me off. When do the movies end and the 2 hour long advertisements start?

Please give me your best counter arguments because I really want to like these movies. Why do you enjoy them? Do you agree or disagree?
