A Sequel to "Walk the Line"

I loved JoaquĆn Phoenix's and Reece Witherspoon's performance as well in 2005's "Walk the Line." It may have been a rushed timeline that could have delved into Johnny's life a bit more, but all in all I enjoyed James Mangold direction.

As any Johnny Cash fan knows, he had 3 phases of his career. The 50's Sun Records era that went through the 60s and then he had the 70's - 80's that should have been the twilight of his career, but wasn't. He rejuvenated his career in the 90s and early 2000s in a huge way with the help of Rick Rubin.

Anyone think that there could be another picture that casts Phoenix as an older Cash? I think his later career would definitely be worth another film. Especially for those who may not know Cash's life beyond his music and drug rebound Walk the Line takes the viewer along.

Any thoughts on this?
