This film revolves around many stories in new York. Mainly 4 short stories and 3 that take up the majority of the movie each one about a citizen of New York learning things or two with the theme of love, Forgiveness, Moving on, and Friendship. Also these are the stories in the film (in no real actual order)
Stuck in the Library/Prologue:
A Young African American boy (played by Michael B. Jordan) gets trapped in the Library for the night with a Indian Woman. They both get along through the night and even fall for each other. In the morning they leave the place once the employees find them trapped in there.
A Neon Broadway:
A Young up and coming Broadway actor (played by Tom Holland) comes to NY from Canada to begin his career in Broadway. He gets the part in La La Land the musical where he gets the part of Sebastian which was originally going to go to Lindsay (played by Maisie Williams) but she ended up getting the role of Mia instead. Anyways to the days of the play the Young boy and Lindsay to not get along at first but grow on each other over time and even fall for each other.
TAXI!!!:
A Business man (played by Michael Fassbender) is going through a rough divorce calls for a Taxi to certain areas he needs to go and that's it it's just him and the Taxi driver (played by Morgan Freeman or Mahershala Ali) and they talk about stuff and it is actually very interesting too (and yes this is one of the stories that takes up the majority of the movie.
In the recording Booth:
A fictionalized version of Hugh Jackman spends the day in a recording booth recording a jingle for a Commercial (this is one of the shorter stories)
The Big Italian:
In Little Italy a rival to another restaurant (played by Robert De Niro) plans to sneak in at night to steal the secret recipe so his restaurant can do better. When it goes wrong he runs into the China Town festival hiding there and taking in the festival lights. This is one of the short stories.
A Night in Manhatten:
A Rich graduate (Played by Justin Timberlake) Plans to have a big special event for his graduation. He spends week planning and he decides to have a big party in empire state building. Thinks go crazy and shortly after it continues as him and a group of friends take stroll through Manhatten.
Stuck in the Statue of Liberty/Epilogue:
The two from the story in the beginning meet again. This time in the statue of Liberty for a night. And you know where it goes from here.
