So, this might be an issue unique to me, but I really hate the ending of the first Kingsman movie. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that it actually made feel physically sick. I've felt the same way only twice before. When I watch the disaster film 2012, and when I watched the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. All three movies involve death and destruction on an almost incalculable scale. But what really bothers me is that no one in those films seem to care.
Valentine's hate plague remains active for several minutes. We are shown cities across the world overtaken in chaos and violence. Even my most conservative estimate puts the death toll at a billion. I can't even imagine all the children and infants...
Add to that the fact that apparently every single political, industry, and military leader on earth joins up with Valentine and thus has their head blown up.
But the film never addresses it. The human population is decimated, all governments and militaries are decapitated, all the survivors are traumatized, but hey, at least our hero got to butt fuck a Swedish princess right? That makes it all better apparently.
Does anyone else feel this way?
