Your most important movie year?

I was picking a movie out from my childhood to watch with my kids and looking through films year by year and it got me thinking what year was the biggest for me as a kid.

I'm 40 this year and looking back, 1986 was definitely THE year for me growing up. I remember going to the theater for Top Gun, Transformers, Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator, Karate Kid 2, Back to School, Aliens, Crocodile Dundee, Ferris Bueller, The Money Pit, Iron Eagle, Hoosiers, Rad, Soul Man, Space Camp, Gung Ho, Star Trek 4 and Three Amigos. My parents loved movies and weren't all that concerned about content either.

What's your most important movie year?
