It's what begins every movie we see. A ten second snippet of something happening, a series of images or animation that have nothing to do with anything, that slowly but surely become the logo of a production company attached to the movie.
Off the top of my head, I think my personal favorite logo is Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The one where its a speeding POV down a desert highway in the middle of a lightning storm. We come to halt just as a bolt of lightning strikes a empty tree. In a flash of light, the tree is suddenly lush and filled with foliage. Generally its a precursor to a fairly lackluster film, but nevertheless, for whatever reason it appeals to me and is one my favorite animated logos.
Whats yours? Whether its a traditional production logo, or even one that has been stylized for a specific film (see: the evolution of the Warner Brothers logo in Harry Potter.)
