What canceled rated 'R' films do you think would/would have clean(ed) up at the box office?

I think about the "recent trend" of grown up entertainment that kills it, when an audience gets what they want: original material that's geared towards adults (across all mediums).

Examples: Game of Thrones, IT, Deadpool, Book of Mormon, Hamilton... you get the point.

So I think about the safe PG-13 rating and wonder what else could have been? For me it's Gore Verbinskis $165 million dollar, R rated, Bioshock film.
