Most of the time, film critics get it right. But every once and a while, they get it wrong. Dead wrong. Rotten Tomatoes has only been around since the early 2000s, and many movies that they've posted to their site that would've been rotten had RT been around are now fresh because critics went back on their original reviews and realized how wrong they were. For example, Fight Club, The Thing, Predator.
But what about the films that are still rotten that considered classics or just cult classics? I submit two for the board: Natural Born Killers & Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Both films I believe if they were released today, and not back then, would be far more appreciated by today's audiences. I think Natural Born Killers would get about a 77% certified, and Fear & Loathing would land at a solid 90%
So what older films that are currently rotten on RT would be fresh if they were released today? (I'm not talking about re-releasing them)
