While I can acknowledge some TV versions cutting violent scenes (this one is successful), I need to explain some major issues with this. The BBC America TV Version of Cliffhanger not only jump-cuts fighting scenes, but literally erases some major side-plots for time. Evans and Brett, the two skier dudes, are never seen or referenced. I find this jarring because it's their appearance that has Frank go and look for then, and the third act seems so rushed with the jump-cuts.
