Thoughts on potential of fan film editions in the years to come as powerful video editing technology becomes attainable?

We can fix the timing of Han's hip shot in A New Hope with computer magic easily already. But what about completely remaking Episodes I, II and III using the originals as character / voice models.

Or just create a huge mega-verse where like the original Terminator gets sent to the past, but this time he loses his mission data. Looking for a way back to the future he finds Doc Brown finishing his prototype time machine, this time the Libyans were not a problem.

I hope for a future where filmshopbattles will become just as much a thing as Photoshopbattles. Then again I prayed for a live action Transformers as a kid and I'm not too sure how well that's working out for me.
