He first appears in Gremlins he lives with his parents In Kingston Falls During the initial outbreak of gremlins his birth parents are killed and he's eventually taken into care by child services.
The trauma is obviously dramatic on him so he changes his name when he is adopted and he moves to Astoria oregan (goonies) Obviously with his past and after maybe brining this up when people find out his is adopted the only friends he would make would clearly be a bunch of misfits who live in a fantasy world who'd obviously accept his back story as told to them it also explains his nickname (mouth)
He continues to exhibit rebellious behaviour but his foster parents chalk it up to his recent experiences however following the events of one-eyed williys treasure making national news children's services step in and move him again
This time he is sent to Santa Carla (lost boys) but placed with another troubled child hoping this would ground him better With his new "brother" Alan they go around calling themselves the "Frog Brothers" because people don't like frogs From her they spend their time along, believing in fantasy world's and preparing against monsters or vampires lead by Cory because of his past experiences...
At the and of Lost Boys his brother is dead and he is heartbroken and unable to integrate Childrens services try one more time to move him this time to the suburbs of Hinkley Hills (The Burbs) From here he is mostly dead inside and a stoner, his part in the events of this film draw some attention from children's services but because of his age they decided not to intervene
