Let me cut to the chase: the movie was fucking awesome in my opinion. Action packed, very humorous (works extremely well), the cinematography is gorgeous, and all of the new characters are worthy additions. There was surprisingly well done emotional moments in the film and it had awesome music.
For the not so positive things: Julianne Moore's Poppy was awesome.... when she had enough screen time. The movie over relied on CGI a bit much and at some points it got over the top to the point of eye rolling. The action was also shot a bit weirdly (kept zooming in and out and very blurry) but was still badass. The movie is also around 2.5 hours and at some points it feels like it.
Is it better than the first? Not really, the first one was the first of its kind. But it's a very solid sequel that should leave most of you satisfied. 7.5/10 for me. AMA!
