/r/movies if anybody can help, then it's you.. Trying to find a Russian movie

The story of that movie went roughly like this:

There's an older guy who meets a fortune teller at a train station and she tells him that in the next few days he will meet the love of his life but that he will also die. Long story short he falls for a girl he just met and they end up together at her place. However, her boyfriend is on the way to the place, and it seems like the guy will die... Big cliffhanger for me ever since.

Now this is the moment I fell asleep and it's been at least 15 years since I saw that movie. It comes back to me every now and then but today I finally decided to stop procrastinating and ask you guys. The movie was definitely Russian/took place in Russia.

EDIT: Now, the good soul that knows which movie I'm talking about I would kindly ask only for the title, without spoilers. I've been looking forward to rewatch this movie after all this time to see how it actually ends.
