Question about Kingsman 1 and Kingsman 2.

In Kingsman 2, When Eggsy was talking to Harry, he said that Kingsman agents aren't aloud to have a love life. But Eggsys dad was married and had a kid, and was still in contention to be a Kingsman right?

Also, Was Merlin a field agent? Because he was on a mission with Harry and Eggsys dad and the original Lancelot in the beginning of the first film.

Was he the one that put up the first Lancelot as a recruit? Or was he just there helping with the mission?
