"Primal Fear" by Gregory Hoblit. I don't know if it is little known. It was the film which introduced Edward Norton to the world (got the actor a nomination) however the film doesn't appear to be mentioned as often as I wish. It is a spellbinding film about a young man who butchers a bishop and the defense attorney soon realizes his client suffers from multiple personality disorder. Moody, Edward Norton is electric and unnerving.
"See No Evil" by Richard Fleischer. Mia Farrow is known for Rosemary's Baby yet she's made a few scary films after Rosemary's Baby. One is the severely underrated The Haunting of Julia which is as spooky as it gets and one is "See No Evil" where she plays a blind woman who finds herself in a dangerous situation as her family is killed by a serial killer and she's left by herself in the house with the killer. Tense and suspenseful.
