I'm a Blade Runner virgin. Which version should I watch first - The original theatrical cut or the directors cut?

I've always considered myself a film buff but was hugely embarrassed to admit I'd never actually seen Blade Runner. (It was one of those classics that you always here about but for some reason or another I just never got around to it)

With the sequel coming out (and all the positive reviews it's getting) maybe now is finely the time to get on board and see what I've been missing out on.

Which version should I watch though? The theatrical cut or the directors cut - (I heard the directors cut is great)
