I grew up never liking or seeing very many movies, and now I'm trying to watch some that I should know about. What should I watch?

The major ones I have seen are Star Wars (4-7), Wayne's World, the Jurassic Park quadrilogy, Fury Road, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and The Dark Knight.

Some others already on my list are Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, The Godfather, Vertigo, Alien(s), Blade Runner, Back to the Future, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Groundhog Day.

Note that I'm not necessarily trying to watch the best movies ever made, I'm trying to watch the ones that are important to popular or nerd culture.
