Comedians in Dramatic roles?

Hi /r/movies, I've got a question for you. I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit, I was thinking about posting to /r/actors but that sub seems essentially dead and I thought you could help me out.

I watched Steve Jobs (2015) last night and I enjoyed watching Seth Rogen play Steve Wozniak as it's so different from anything else he's acted in.

another example is Steve Carrell in The Big Short, for some reason I really enjoy watching these actors step out of their comfort zone and play dramatic roles. edit: I also thought Steve Carrell in Foxcatcher was excellent.

I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of some similar performances? Doesn't necessarily have to be a dramatic role, just anything serious. I prefer more recent movies (1990's-present) although if you think it's a great movie I'll watch it regardless of age.

Thanks!
