Any time you thought Best Foreign Language Film should've been the Best Picture, too?

Last I could think of was 2012 when The Artist won. I think Foreign Language winner, A Separation, should've won Best Picture over The Artist. I also think Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was better than all nine Best Picture nominees that year, and it wasn't even nominated.

Anyways, was there a time where Best Foreign Language was the Best Film that year in your opinion?

Also open to opening up the discussion to movies that deserved Best Picture but weren't even nominated for Best Picture

Be curious to see people's thoughts on that.
