The original Dawn of the Dead is one of the most classic zombie films ever made. It's definitely one of my favorites. I own the Ultimate Edition of the film on DVD. This is the best home video release of the film to date, containing all three cuts of the film plus a bunch of extras. So why hasn't this version gotten a blu-ray release?
In 2007 the theatrical cut was released on blu-ray; in 2011, Arrow Video released it on blu-ray in the UK; both are now out of print.
Is there an issue with the film rights?
