While I enjoy mindless killing in movies as much as the next guy, I was rewatching The Grey, and this scene in particular struck me. It's such a unique way to handle a character dying in a movie, at least none I've scene. No epic orchestra swelling, no big hurrah, a character is caught in the worst situation and has to accept his fate. I was wondering what other scenes were similar or unique ways movies dealt with death.
