please don't read this as disrespectful. i'm just wondering if someone can explain to me how to be a more astute watcher of movies. i want to be clear, i am actually asking; i'm not implying they don't do anything; i am legitimately stating that i am ignorant and just want to learn.
having said that, can someone explain to me what a director does. the script drives the plot and the cinematographer does the actual photography, right? can anyone provide me with some examples of what to look for that would really clarify what it is when a director is 'directing'? thanks! :)
