Why do you think the box office is doing so poorly?

Piggybacking off the top thread why do you believe that the box office is doing bad?

In my opinion the reason why the box office is doing poorly is because people are looking more towards blockbusters. If your film isn't a big name one that hasn't been talked about ad nasium then people aren't going to want to see it.

I also believe that in relation to the top paragraph, super hero movies are on the downswing. Because so many are released in a year it's not really original anymore. It was cool like 10 years ago but it isn't cool anymore because of the frequency.

Personally I like movies that tell a really good story. Film companies moved away from storytelling I think and are just trying to pump out movies they think will be hits.
