What class novels need another film adaption?

I'm talking specifically about novels that have been made into a movie, perhaps even a quality one, long ago in the past. For example, my top three are:

1. For Whom the Bell Tolls (it's movie was made in 1942 (?) and even won a few Oscars, but I think a big-budget epic would be great).

2. Catch-22

3. The Scarlet Letter (ideally with fewer baths)

Basically movies where the adaption simply isn't "perfect" (it simply can't be done better). For example, classics such as To Kill a Mockingbird probably don't belong here, as another adaption couldn't possibly be better.
