Saw 'It' and had a blast, but I didn't like the changes made to the ending. Anyone else feel that way?[Spoilers]

I was surprised by how well done the movie was and really enjoyed it, but what I didn't like was the ending of it as I remember how the first part of the book ended and was really hoping that they do it better than the mini series did and...they kind of just did their own thing. While their own thing did work for the movie, it really was the only part of the film I didn't like.

For anyone who hasnt read the book I'll summarize it quickly.

When The Losers gang enters the sewers to take It on, they bring a gun with them that has Silver bullets (believing Silver is a weakness). What they dont know is Henry Bowers, Belch, and Vic are tailing them and all 3 are going to kill them(all 3 are under Its influence if I recall).

Basically It has Henry and his cronies do the hard work and then It shows up(taking the form of Frankensteins monster), kills Belch and Vic which causes Henry to go crazy and get lost in the sewers(and is the one blamed for the disappearing childrens murders in Derry) and finally It takes on the Losers club, and ultimately loses(in a battle of wills against Bill).

Now I get why a battle of wills wouldn't quite translate on cinema and why they chose to basically just have the Losers club beat It to "death" but I really was sad to see the bigger part of the climax where Henry, Belch and Vic face off against the Losers club only to be taken out by It after they've outlived their usefulness as its one thing to see Henry finally snap, but seeing Belch and Vic who weren't anywhere near as crazy as Henry also snap due to It as well as Henry.

I'm assuming that in the film the reason you dont see Henrys goons with him in the finale is that Henry kills them after he kills his father.

Knowing that this was missing made the films climax feel a little barebones and unfinished and I wouldn't have minded the film be a couple minutes longer if it had some more of the books climax and would have made the ending feel more complete.

Just my opinion, Still was a pleasant surprise and a joy to watch but I really felt this should have been filmed.
