This movie is based on the book Silence by Shūsaku Endō and the 2016 Martin Scorsese film of the same name. If you're not familiar with the book or the movie (which are both fantastic), they follow the journey of two Jesuit priests who look for their master in Shogunate Japan around the early 1600s. Their master commits apostasy after succumbing to torture from the Tokugawa Shogunate.
Now we get to my movie idea. Two fledgling Jedi Knights travel on their own accord to the planet Mandalore to retrieve their Jedi Master who has been captured by the war-mongering Mandalorians. They believe they are on a reconnaissance mission, but the details of their mission are much more complicated. Has their master been captured? Or did he renounce the Jedi Code to become a member of the Sith Order?
This move would delve deep into the philosophies of the Jedi and Sith orders, and take place long before Anakin Skywalker's time. It will also be filled with dope-ass lightsaber battles.
Idk, just an idea I had while I was procrastinating on my school work.
