Looking at IT, it's insane how long movies can be in production for.

Cary Fukanaga was announced as the director for the two part IT series nearly 5 and a half years ago. Even before that announcement, allegedly the film was thrown around WB since 2009-2010.

After the announcement, we got multiple actor changes, a director change, and a near full script overhaul. In fact, Finn Wolfhard as Richie is the only holdover from Cary's production!

Another example of this is WB's The Stand and Sony's Dark Tower. The Stand was announced in 2011 and soon after that, Matthew Mcconaughey was attached as Randall Flagg. But instead, that got axed, but Mcconaughey was still tapped to play Flagg in Sony's Dark Tower that got released this summer.

It really makes you wonder what movies are currently being thrown around studios currently that could be HUGE in 5-7 years.
