Just rewatched the Pagemaster, a movie I despised at 7 years old and was shocked to see so much nostalgia for it

I watched it as a kid originally, and it was the first movie I ever hated, I didn't think other kids who watched it would have really liked it. I remember distinctly thinking in my child's mind 'this is gay' (when everything was gay to me).

In retrospect, I'm not entirely sure what's going on? The film moves at such a quick pace, if you pop to the bog and come back the entire setting has changed. It happened to me at the pirate bit, went out to have a shit, came back, there's a dragon now. I get things would have happened in the span of five minutes, but good god this movie goes by quick.

What do you think of this movie? I'm planning an actual in depth review of it and would appreciate more opinions than just mine.
