Putting aside the racial tension between Hollywood and asians/Asian american, i thought the movie was terrible. I felt there was barely a story and the character development, if any, that existed was completely deviated from the anime to the point where they could've avoided the whole race issue by creating a new story line where the death note lands in Seattle after the light yagami storyline in japan from the anime
I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, or even something vaguely similar to the anime but i was hoping for something good that would be an ok use of an hour when you can't decide on something to watch.
Did any of you even bother watching it? If so what were your thoughts and if not why?
