Hello everyone!
I'd just like to recommend the film Hidden Figures to everybody who hasn't seen it yet, or even to those who, like me, already have and would like to re-watch it! I am aware that the film has been out for a while now but I feel like everybody could benefit from seeing it.
The movie not only tackles delicate racial issues in the segregated US but also shows us what really goes on behind all the amazing progress we have made as a species towards space exploration (specifically at NASA). There is a constant comedic undertone throughout the entire movie, interrupted only by crucial moments which define history and changed what we now call the present. Some scenes were so powerful that I cried my way through them, realising just how amazing the human brain is and, at the same time, just how mean we can all be without really realising it.
Comment what you think about the movie! I honestly loved it and it made me feel so much more appreciative of everything we have today both socially and technologically.
Happy watching!
