I watched Burnt, starring Bradley Cooper as a Michelin star chef, on a friend's recommendation. It's streaming on Netflix in the US, BTW. The first few minutes of the movie revolve around his character coming back into his profession and getting reacquainted with his old contacts (other chefs and people in the restaurant business). I recently watched John Wick Chapter 2 and the whole thing felt awfully similar.
I like that both these movies tell a story that has already happened through a sort of retrospective world building without any overt flashbacks.
