I was thinking back to some of the big movies that I've watched and some of them were trilogies. I then realized that we've really had some big trilogy movies in the first decade of 2000s. There was:
- Blade trilogy
- Star Wars prequel trilogy
- Lord of the Rings trilogy
- The Matrix trilogy
- Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy
- Spiderman trilogy
- The Bourne trilogy
- Shrek trilogy
